PdfCrypter

When it comes to virtual documents, it is very hard to prevent someone from stealing your work. Converting them to PDF files may discourage some users from editing your work, but it is not the most effective solution. PdfCrypter offers full protection for PDF documents. You can restrict anyone from adding new content, copying existing one or even printing your documents. If you do not want anyone to view your work, the application can also lock your document with a password.

Advanced knowledge is not a requirement, when installing PdfCrypter. Its setup file is small and a wizard will guide you through the installation process with clear instructions. The application itself will be ready in a few seconds.

The application can prevent PDF documents from being edited. Once encrypted, no one will be able to copy or change its content, add new one or print it. You can also create a password to prevent documents from being opened. PdfCrypter lets you create and save encryption profiles, so you will not have to make the same settings again, when encrypting a new patch of documents.

A set of default profiles can be found in a drop menu. You can select one and edit its settings or you may create a new one. Regardless of your choice, the same wizard will be launched, with the same options. While going through the wizard's steps, you can choose what editing tasks to restrict, create a password to restrict the PDF from being opened and a second one for protecting your settings. Finally, you can name the profile, select an output folder and choose what action to perform after encrypting a document. When you are done, your new profile can be found in the same drop menu as the pre-set ones.

When a profile is selected, you can select what editing options to restrict by clicking a series of check boxes, beneath the drop menu, eliminating the need to go through the same setup process. Single or multiple PDF documents can be loaded with browsing options. When everything is ready, you may click the Start button, in the lower right corner of the interface and your documents will be encrypted within seconds.
